Norwegian Lapland asks you to slow down and then, without warning, shows you something that makes everything else feel small. This project follows two parallel tracks through the same winter landscape north of Tromsø. The first is the Sami reindeer camp in the Tamokdalen valley, where the herding culture has operated on the same seasonal rhythms for centuries. Close enough to photograph the reindeer without startling them, close enough to watch a Sami herder move through the herd with the kind of unhurried confidence that only comes from a lifetime in that specific place. Drone views at first light, with the valley laid out in pink and white below the mountains. The second is the fjord around Tromsø in winter: killer whales surfacing a few metres from the boat, the Arctic Cathedral lit against a completely dark sky, the harbour at night with the city reflected in the water. Two subjects that share the same coordinates and almost nothing else
