The 24 Hours of Spa is one of the longest nights in motorsport. Twenty-four hours around the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the Belgian Ardennes, with GT3 machinery from McLaren, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche, BMW, Lamborghini and more running flat out through the same corners, from midday light to pitch dark and back again. This project follows the race across its full arc. The afternoon panning shots along the coloured kerbs of the Kemmel Straight, where the cars come past at over 200km/h and you have about half a second to get the shot. The paddock details during the quiet hours: a splitter, a brake light, a livery seen from two feet away. Then the night, which changes everything. Raidillon lit from below, grandstands packed, light trails from a hundred cars tracing the same line through the same corner for hours on end. The 24 Hours of Spa is where GT racing shows exactly what it can do. This is what that looks like.
